No proof red wine makes you slim or is good for your gut

When a headline sounds too good to be true, it usually is. There's nothing in this study to suggest that people should start drinking red wine to lose weight.
The potential effect of diet on the micro-organisms in the gut is a new and interesting field of science.

non-domestic assaults in Sydney

Despite this, the reforms still delivered an overall reduction in non-domestic assaults over the period February 2014 to March 2019, with an estimated net benefit of 395 fewer non-domestic assault incidents.

Dank Vapes…That Can Put You in a Coma

Patrick DeGrave’s brother was still in a medically induced coma in a Wisconsin hospital when he spoke to the local news. Standing before a crew from FOX 6 Milwaukee, he was ready to go public, and the vaporizer cartridge he held up for the cameras was the reason for his brother’s significant heart and lung damage.
The vapor product DeGrave showed to reporters was distilled from cannabis. But it was also apparently made by the “company” Dank Vapes — an elusive, black-market brand that’s as tricky to pin down as vapor.

Mental Health issues are ballooning and all in concert with drug use.
The ‘chicken and egg’ equation of drug use/mental health or mental health/drug use, flip-flops with drug use continuing to be no answer to anything, and ONLY creating deeper dysfunction and grief for our communities.
Despite this assaultive reality – and with breathtaking cognitive dissonance – what is one of the greatest aspirational agendas of the emerging progressive solipsism?  The liberalisation and legalisation of these same psychotropic toxins. In the public discourse, this cultural self-medicating nightmare is sponsored as a centre piece of the ‘progressive agenda’ of the so-called cultural elite!
Are we really this stupid, or just stoned? Is there a difference? It appears not! Regardless of crass interpretations, we can always blame the drug use, and once we have created that crutch of victimhood on which to lean, we can silence any challenge to this self-destructive spiral by calling it ‘stigmasing rhetoric’!
Well, so goes the progressive cultural narrative in this space! No Brainer

Incidence of Pediatric Cannabis Exposure Among Children and Teenagers Aged 0 to 19 Years Before and After Medical Marijuana Legalization in Massachusetts
Question  Does the number of pediatric cannabis (marijuana) exposure cases before medical marijuana legalization in Massachusetts differ from the number afterward?
Findings:  In this repeated cross-sectional study, there were 218 calls related to cannabis exposure received by the Regional Center for Poison Control and Prevention in Massachusetts, constituting 0.15% of all calls concerning children and teenagers aged 0 to 19 years. The number of calls regarding single-substance cannabis exposure, especially edible product exposure, in this age group showed a statistically significant increase; the number of such calls for all cannabis product types more than doubled from 29 calls 4 years before MML to 69 calls 4 year afterwards.

“Most people have been conned into using the word ‘overdose’ regarding illicit drugs! No such thing! Why? Because it clearly implies there is a 'safe' dose which can be taken - and everyone knows that's a lie. The same goes for the words 'use' and abuse'. Those terms can only be applied to prescribed pharmaceuticals because they have a prescribed safe dose. I have asked each jurisdiction in Australia if the legal amount of alcohol when driving, up to 0.49, is considered safe for driving. All said no - they would not state that!”
