BBC's Sarah Ali Choudhury meets Brighton's very own Manju as she talks about living her dreams and working with her family in the kitchen. As a national shortage of professional chefs threatens our curry houses, food entrepreneur Sarah, who grew up in her family’s restaurant in Dorset, is calling for more women to get involved and pays Manju a visit to discover her perspective.

Brighton Vegan Festival 2019

It's no surprise to see festivals celebrating all that's good in vegan food and drink, especially with the rise in vegan-friendly menus and supermarket produce alike. Why not head along to the Brighton Vegan Festival at Hilton Brighton Metropole on Saturday 28 September?
 


Good Food Guide 2020

See which Brighton and Hove restaurants made it into the Waitrose Good Food Guide for this year. Who's new and who's had an upgrade on their rating?
 



Brighton Chocolate Festival - 12th, 13th October 

Indulge your senses during the Brighton Chocolate Festival weekend in October and discover a selection of chocolate-themed exhibitors, including award-winning chocolatiers and chocolate makers. Highlighting sustainable, ethical products, with traceability, and made with human compassion for those who work in the cocoa fields. Held at the Hilton hotel 11-5pm, free entry. 
 



Brighton Jobs Fair - 11th October, Jury's Inn Waterfront

The event is between 10am and 1pm. Free to attend with no registration required. The Jobs Fair is a great way to speak with potential employers face-to-face. You can register with employers for jobs, collect info on employers, ask them questions, apply for jobs, or even have a mini interview on the day. More information.

We meet Samuel Benson, director of ABV Media who organises the Brighton Bar AwardsWe talk to Sam about this years winners, his aspirations and where it all started.
