🏔Fisher’s Peak, Is That You?
Trinidad’s Fisher’s Peak has been off limits to the public for as long as we can remember. The 9,633-foot mountain sits in the southeast part of the state and teases residents with its untouched landscape that is just begging to be explored. But that’s all about to change because the privately owned 19,200-acre Crazy French Ranch on which Fisher’s rests will soon become our newest state park. Governor Polis signed an executive order to open the space up to hiking, biking, hunting, and fishing by 2021. Get ready to road trip, Fitt friends!

🚲 Take It To Two Wheels
Sure, it may not be widely publicized in the US, but we think it’s pretty rad. World Car-Free Day is happening September 22 and exists to encourage you to ditch your vehicle for a day in favor of greener ways of getting where you need to go. Grab your bike and get in on the fun by hitting up one of our favorite trails!

☕️ Crop To Cup Coffee
Originally scheduled to set up shop at DIA, Kabod Coffee is now brewing its beans in Stapleton. The shop serves up cups of fair trade, organic Ethiopian coffee alongside other healthy sips and bites. Kabod takes sustainability seriously and focuses on following farmers from crop to cup to bridge the gap between coffee growers and consumers.

🌿 Healthier Hops
Hopping on the healthier sips trend, Boulder brand Hoplark HopTea has created something hoppy, healthy, and pretty damn unique. Their line of hops-brewed sparkling teas taste similar to an IPA but are free from alcohol, sugar, and calories. They can be found at their taproom in Boulder and are also landing on the shelves of 480 Whole Foods stores nationwide.

🏡 Health Help At Home
There’s nothing pleasant about an unexpected trip to the hospital. Colorado healthcare provider Kaiser Permanente knows this, and their recent partnership with DispatchHealth aims to remedy it. Now, if there’s a health emergency that goes down in the comforts of your own home, a team of medical professionals will come knocking, capable of urgent care to treat a wide range of injuries and illnesses, from common to complex. Plus, it’s in-network for KP members and is almost 90% less expensive than a trip to the ER. Get involved and get covered at kp.org.

Rise // Run // Power Triathlon
This isn’t your typical triathlon. Rather than swim, bike, and run, you’ll climb, run, and flow with two of Cherry Creek’s fitness favorites — Rise Nation and CorePower Yoga. It starts with a 30-minute Rise Nation class, continues with a run between studios, and ends with a 60-minute C2 (level 2) class. To top it off, all triathletes will score snacks, drinks, and a swag bag!
