#1. Volleyball Tournament for Boys at Windsor Park

With summer coming to an end and the fall season just around the corner, AMA is proud to present its next outdoor activity for brothers.

We’re having a volleyball tournament!

Participants will be placed into teams to compete with one another for bragging rights.

Do you have what it takes to win?

There will be a BBQ along with snacks & refreshments provided for the tournament players.

Here are the details for the upcoming tournament:

Date: Saturday, September 21 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM

Location: Windsor Park (3560 Wyman Pl) which is only 5 minutes away from AMA.

Age: Brothers 14 years and older

Cost: Only $5 per player

#2. Women's Fitness Morning Class

Here are the details for the morning fitness sessions:

Date: Every Mondays | Wednesdays | Fridays from Monday, Sept 16 until Friday, December 20 (NO classes the week of Dec. 9-13 or Statutory Holidays)

Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Location for morning: Community hall of Masjid ar-Rahmah (1216 Hunt Club Rd.) on the lower floor

Cost: Only $35

#3. Women's Fitness Evening Class 

The evening fitness program will also include sports such as soccer and basketball. Here are the details for the evening sessions:

Date: Monday & Thursday evenings from September 12 to December 19 (No classes during the week of Dec. 9 – 13 and on Statutory Holidays)

Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Location for evening: Albion-Heatherington Centre (1560 Heatherington Rd, Ottawa, K1V 9P5)

Cost: $30

#5. Swimming for Men at Brewer Pool

We will be renting Brewer pool on Sunday’s from the City of Ottawa to provide a safe environment for children, youth, and men to practice and exercise swimming. All life guards and instructors during the swimming sessions will be males. This program is catered to boys and men of all ages.

These weekly swimming sessions are organized by AMA Youth to create an Islamic and safe environment sensitive to the cultural and religious practices of Muslims. And it’s also a great opportunity to have some fun!

This is recreational swimming. We will not be providing training of any kind. Furthermore, fathers must be in the water with their kids below 10 years old at all times.

Here are the details for the upcoming Fall Session:

Dates: Every Sunday starting from Sep 22nd to Dec 8th

Location: Brewer Pool - 100 Brewer Way

Age: For Men & Boys

Cost: $33

#5. Special Weekend Course by AlMaghrib Institute

Introducing AlMaghrib Institute’s upcoming weekend seminar – Succession: The Rise of Abu-Bakr and Umar (RA) with Shaykh Hasib Noor on September 20 – 22.
