Tomorrow, We're Striking to Save Our Climate.

Dear Subscriber,

Tomorrow, millions of people around the world will walk out of our workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels.

As a group of people devoted to working for a better world, Outdoors Victoria have signed the THIS IS NOT BUSINESS AS USUAL pledge and will be joining them.

"It’s not business as usual for the world's children to skip school to get adults to pay attention to the climate crisis.

It’s not business as usual for those children to have to ask the adults to skip work."

We think it's an essential time for concerned people to step up and let our governments know that they need to take urgent and significant action to avert global catastrophe.

And we'd love to encourage you, as part of the outdoors community, to encourage your teams and colleagues to head to a strike event near you – there are more than 100 happening across the country. You can find one near you at globalclimatestrike.net

We do acknowledge that attending an event tomorrow is not possible for everyone. There are other things you can do by sharing the message or joining us in spirit. :)

Call to Action: Calling Educators to Action on Climate Change

If you are an educator you can sign the EDUCATORS FOR CLIMATE ACTION petition.
The Call is a 'global' initiative of academics to take action on:

  • supporting the student strike
  • rethinking educational priorities
  • realigning research agendas
  • transforming pedagogies
  • voicing concerns
Let's act for a better world
