Items of note for this week

Lend a helping hand for spring baiting

Our spring baiting program for wild dogs will get underway in mid-October and between now and then there is plenty of prep work to be done. The preparation of baits for aerial baiting will take place in Cobar between Monday, 30 Sept and Sunday, 13 October. If you are interested and able to give the Bio team a hand, please get in touch with Lisa who is coordinating the schedule. Please make sure you have run this past your supervisor.

Get your admin up to date by 26 Sept

Staff are asked to make sure their admin items like Expense8, time sheets and so forth are all up to date by 5 pm Thursday so they can be approved and Michelle is able to generate a report for forecasting. Staff will then need to ensure admin items are again up to date by the end of September for end of month reporting. In recent times, there has been a noticeable improvement by staff with regards to keeping admin up to date and it has been noticed by the admin team and is much appreciated.

Got an event to promote? Some things to consider prior to contacting the comms officer

With a number of projects and programs getting underway for the 19/20 financial year, along with the business as usual items such as spring baiting, staff are asked to contact Charlie as early as possible when his assistance is required to help promote an event/opportunity. The earlier Charlie knows about what you are working on, the better, as he will be able to plan the best approach to promoting it as well as ensure it is promoted for as long and as widely as possible. This includes promoting it to staff around the Western region as well as other regions, stakeholders and possibly, the Minister's Officer. Staff looking for further information about our communication and engagement methods are encouraged to read the below documents, and can always contact Charlie for a chat or reach him on email.
