We're Rebranding

New Look, Same Great Experience


Sport Manitoba is rebranding, which means you'll see a few changes to the Fitness Centre, too.

With the rebrand comes a new name (our Canada Games Sport for Life Fitness Centre will become the Sport Manitoba Fitness Centre), logo, and website. You'll also see changes to our app effective Oct. 1, a new look and feel to our eNewsletter, and some newly painted orange walls in the fitness area. Our dedication to providing you with an excellent facility and quality services, however, remains our top priority!

  • The Pull-Up Program - Tuesdays from Oct. 15 - Dec. 3 at  6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 
  • Goal Setting Workshop - Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 
  • Powerlifting - Sundays from Nov. 17 - Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Block Yoga Digestive Workshop - Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. 
  • Nutrition Workshop  - Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Staff Feature

Jon


Hi! I’m Jon Jorundson, a certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA) at Sport Manitoba.

I teach various fitness classes from cardiovascular-based conditioning to strength training, and also work with personal training clients looking to achieve their individual fitness goals. 
 
I enjoy helping and connecting with people from beginners to fitness fanatics by creating a fun and challenging environment.
 
Outside the gym, I stay active by playing in a men’s basketball league, and enjoy golfing and being outdoors during the summer.
 
When you see me around, come say hey! I’d love to chat more.

Mon - Thur 6:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Friday 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sat - Sun 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
