New MC Students Include
20 Legacies

Scots Science Scholars

Twenty new MC students who arrived on campus this fall are legacies, meaning they have relatives who are current or former Maryville College students. Several of this year's legacies followed multiple generations of family members to MC, and one student’s great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was the great-grandfather of MC’s founder, the Rev. Isaac Anderson! Read more about these students on the MC website.

Bicentennial Play

Who was Susan Wiley Walker? That’s what Nashville playwright Mary Donnet Johnson aimed to find out when she embarked on a journey of discovery that culminates in her play, “To Know You,” which will be performed Nov. 1-2 at the Clayton Center for the Arts. The play about Walker (MC benefactor and architect/first resident of Morningside, which is now known as RT Lodge) is one of MC’s bicentennial events. Read more on the MC website.
