NICHD Strategic Plan

Dear Colleague,
 
I am pleased to share the NICHD Strategic Plan 2020 (PDF 2.2 MB) with you. This document would not be possible without the efforts of many scientists, physicians, public health experts, advocates, patients, families, and members of the general public. We are grateful to those who generously offered their time and expertise to develop this important plan.
 
Our work is not over; indeed, it has just begun. NICHD will continue to collaborate with partners in government, academia, industry, and healthcare to transform our research priorities and strategic objectives into real-world results. We hope the plan encourages applications for research projects to advance science on priority topics and increases the use of NICHD datasets and research resources in developmental biology, pregnancy, medical rehabilitation, and other areas.
