Local Actions on the Climate Emergency - Portland Climate Strike & Festival
In Portland, youth have been hard at work organizing local climate actions. They are looking to Portland to show up in a major way. They’re calling on us to help by showing up this Friday, September 20, by supporting the Portland climate strike, march & festival. It all starts at 10:30am at City Hall, and then everyone will march to OMSI together, to have a festival focused on resolution, solutions, engaging with organizations that can help and connecting with other like-minded people who care. Learn more at https://climatestrikeoregon.org/.
The festival is an especially great opportunity for B Corps to show up and discuss how triple bottom line business is a huge part of the global solution. This is a grassroots movement and there are a variety of ways you and/or your company can help. Be a part of this monumental, youth-led, environmental movement!

Get creative and contribute whatever you can to promote visibility for climate action, whether it’s ad space, a sign in the window, social media post—whatever! For example, Grapevine Outdoor (an aspiring B Corp and outdoor advertising company behind the B Corp Pop-Up Store at the Lloyd Center) has donated available billboard space to promote the climate strike.
