Drivers have a challenging job and we love them for it! They navigate traffic, road conditions and weather every day. They also want to make sure every stop is safe and satisfactory! There are a number of things you can do to help your deliveries go smoothly and safely. We've created a guide to serve as a training tool and poster for your program to help volunteers and staff navigate deliveries.
Core Produce is expanding to include apples and carrots! That will bring total available Core offerings to four (apples, carrots, onions and potatoes). Core produce offers year-round availability of quality inspected, repacked, highly desired fruits and vegetables. Click here to learn more
Pipestone County Area Food Shelf has made a lot of changes to increase access to food in their community. The food shelf recently completed a SuperShelf transformation and used a grant from SHH to purchase an electronic client tracking system, computer and scale. Learn more.
Pat Ollhoff from the Belle Plaine Food Shelf and Karla Bauer, Food Rescue Specialist, presented the Coborn’s store with a certificate showing that they’ve donated 29,803 meals to their community from July 2018 to July 2019 through the food rescue pounds collected. Many of the Coborn’s staff have volunteered with the food shelf and currently the Store Director, Josh, serves on the food shelf Board of Directors.
