OUT AND ABOUT: "A FEW GOOD MEN" AT PITTSBURGH PUBLIC THEATER
By Colten Gill, PDP Digital & Online Content Coordinator

"You can't handle the truth!" Opening a dazzling 45th season, "A Few Good Men" is now on stage at the Pittsburgh Public Theater, directed by the Public's Artistic Director Marya Sea Kaminski and featuring a stellar cast that brings Aaron Sorkin's classic play (and film) to life.

Set in 1986, the cast expertly tells the story of two Marines accused of killing a fellow Marine at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Watching opening night, I was constantly on the edge of my seat as the production went from being laugh-out-loud funny to being riveting and suspenseful. Having Pittsburgh-legend Rocky Blier play the judge was an added bonus, and the pacing made the longer runtime of the show fly by.

After the show (and an acknowledgment of the real-world military members featured in the ensemble), the audience was buzzing talking about an incredible performance of classic American theater. This is a season opener that you won't want to miss.

Tickets start at $30. "A Few Good Men" is on stage now through October 13. Learn more.

Each week we compile a list of places where you can catch some live music in support of our Downtown Sound Initiative. Learn more about the project here.
