A Detroit Property Owner's Guide to Green Stormwater Infrastructure

Join us for a workshop from 9 AM - 12 PM, Friday, September 27th

Detroit Future City invites you to learn how to manage stormwater on your non-residential property and get Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) drainage charge credits.

On Friday, September 27th at 9 AM, DFC is hosting a workshop designed for business owners, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations with non-residential property who are interested in using Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) to manage your stormwater.

In this workshop you can expect to learn the basics of stormwater management and GSI, along with key information on DWSD's drainage charge and Green Credit Program. We'll cover what bioretention is, how to determine if it will work on your site, the process for designing and implementing a bioretention practice, how to apply for a drainage charge credit, and funding opportunities to help pay for GSI on your property.

This event will be from 9 AM to Noon at Grand River WorkPlace, 19120 Grand River. Check-in and breakfast begin at 8:30 AM. Space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot!

Please email stormwater@detroitfuturecity.com or call 313-259-4407 with any questions regarding this workshop.
