"The best part for me was coming over Firle expecting to land and getting only 300 foot above the carpark and hooking an absolute belter all the way to 4500 feet, I was still in it over High and Over," says Rob Houston about the recent Flybubble Challenge. That's what we like to hear. Flying is incredible, because it challenges us, surprises us, and rewards us with spectacular vistas.

In this edition: drifting with thermals, flying in mountains, strong wind safety, happy holidays and fantastic flying stuff.

Phi MAESTRO
Phi MAESTRO (EN B+)
There's something special about this wing. It's absolutely worth testing if you are in the market for a high B wing for XC flying. The more we fly it, the more impressed we are with the calm nature blended with high feedback.

Update your flight instrument!

A glider pilot narrowly avoided a mid-air collision with a freeflight pilot recently. The free-flight pilot had a SKYTRAXX 3.0 with FANET+. The glider`s PowerFLARM did not trigger a collision warning, as they were using old software. These collisions are potentially fatal so regularly update your flight instrument to ensure you are using the latest software. Check on Skytraxx 3.0 or Skytraxx 2.0 (or refer to your instrument manufacturer's website).
