Outstanding Huns Hall of Fame Banquet!
Hats off to the Huns Hall of Famer Committee (Jack Bloom, Brent “Captain Poot” Graef, TJ Costello, Don Chandler, and David Pelton) for an incredible and classy night on 8/31/2019! The Club’s Fiscal Year came to a close on August 31st. The Huns were successful financially this last year, in large part due to the generosity of our Social Members through dues, donations, and merchandise purchases. The Club also benefits a great deal culturally from the active involvement of our Old Boys and ageless ladies. THANK YOU!
2018 / 2019 Competitively
The Old Boys and Gals support, and the hard work of the players and coaches, all paid off big time on the pitch in 2018 / 2019. The 15s sides posted 17 cup match wins, up from 4 wins the prior year. Our 7s squad won the TOLA season championship for the 2nd year in a row (3rd, if you remove the recount screwing by the Reds the prior year, but I digress). Truly phenomenal work, everyone! TEAM!!
2019 / 2020 Fiscal Year - Operationally
Shawn Rutledge – this paragraph is for you. The Club’s fiscal year began on 9/1, so for those who are interested it’s time to re-up for Social Member Dues. They are still only $125 per year, and we will have a new Polo design again this season to match our current jersey order. Your continued support is appreciated!
That said, the Board is very cognizant that between Club donations, Captain’s Fund donations, Youth Rugby donations, HHOF donations, etc., that Old Boys and Gals have been called upon to do a lot the last two years. Again, thank you! However, “Donor Fatigue” is a real thing in non-profits and the Club certainly doesn’t want to push it with our supporters. Join as a Social Member and donate as you can, but no big deal if you can’t because times are tight or you prefer to direct your funds somewhere else. Come out and yell … and drink a beer with us… regardless. Help as a volunteer maybe at Youth Rugby, Bloodfest, or at a work party. There are many ways to support the Huns on the pitch.

In addition to being a member or coming out to the games, here are some easy ways you can help the Club without spending any additional money.
- Amazon Smile – Convert your Amazon Prime Account to Amazon Smile and a portion of your purchase goes to the Huns as a donation. Many of our members do this and it’s not uncommon for a household to generate $20 o $40 in donations to the Club with this platform… just by purchasing the stuff you already would anyway.
- Host a Facebook Fundraiser on your Facebook Page. Several guys have done this over the last year and the Club has received $200 or more each time for these efforts.

The following individuals were elected to the Board in the recent Club election:

Save The Date – October 26th
The 2nd Annual Lochridge Memorial 15s Tournament will be held at Nixon Lane this year on Saturday, October 26th. There will be Huns Youth Rugby in the morning, four D2 teams competing for the LMXVs trophy including the return of Monterey, Mexico and our very own Huns, the D1 men will take on Air Force in a friendly, and there will be a three team ladies tourney that includes the Valks and Monterey, Mexico. Of course, the Social activities will go late into the night. Stay tuned for more details.
Old Boy / Gal Directory
Huns Legend Dave Zack has volunteered to create an Old Boys Directory. His team of Revell Martin, Keith Gallas, and Matt Mitchell will be working on this project in the coming weeks. This team will also be assisting with retention and recruitment of Social Members. We are grateful to have them on board.
