Our member leaders have been busy working to build political power for our contract campaign.
At the Alameda County Democratic Party’s monthly meeting, a contingent of Local 21 and SEIU 1021 members spoke about our struggle to provide quality public services amidst the understaffing crisis.
As a result, the Alameda County Democratic Party Central Committee unanimously passed a resolution in support of Oakland city workers and called on Mayor Schaaf and Oakland City Council to negotiate a fair wage proposal with city workers.
