Norfolk Modern Slavery Collaboration
Imagine Norfolk Together is proud to be a member of the Norfolk Modern Slavery Collaboration, established in October 2018. The collaboration group is comprised of 19 member organisations and charities who share in the vision: ‘Norfolk, a county without slavery.’

Through cohesive and collaborative working between organisations and local communities from across Norfolk (statutory, voluntary, private and faith groups), we are striving to provide the best possible care for survivors of slavery, and to ensure that perpetrators are held to account and prosecution processes are appropriately supported. Working together the NMSC is committed to raising awareness throughout the county in part of our commitment to prevent slavery from occuring in the first place.

You can find out more information about Norfolk Freedom week which the NMSC is planning later in this newsletter.

Support for those in financial need
I come across so many people who are struggling with money for different reasons. So I decided to put together a list of resources and support services which can help if someone is struggling financially. Some of them are local, others national. Let me know if I've missed anything!

A really interesting report which highlights the importance of allowing people who are homeless to access opportunities to explore spirituality and faith as well as accessing practical support.

On Thursday 24th a closing event will be held at The Sanctuary in Norwich, from 7.00 - 9.00 p.m. There will be presentations and a panel of experts to answer questions.

Unlock training - 22nd February 2020
Unlock is a Christian charity that was founded in 1972. It exists to help urban churches of any denomination to respond to the challenges in their areas. They are are especially concerned with Bible engagement with 'traditional tabloid' ('non-book', 'oral learners', or 'text-shy') cultures.

We are hoping that Unlock will come and provide a day's training locally, with a provisional date of 22nd February 2020. Please put the date in your diary now and contact me for more information.
