Hopefully, someday, you will find yourself swimming in the middle of the night with a bunch of other sailors in the middle of the sailing club, after the police stopped your on-shore party.

If you are there then, there would be no need for me to get all tangled up in the description of feelings behind that scene. I wouldn’t have to get all down into what the hell are these kind of people made of.

A week to go, and the challenge of the sea will set sail. So far, the weather outlook is auspicious, and we expect 38 sailors from our tribe to gather in Svendborg. Our annual pilgrimage to the Mekka of sailing that is Garda is approaching fast. Registrations are open and ready for your entry. The perfect sailing setting, proper wind and great company are just the first three things on the long list of reasons you should come. End your sailing season in an appropriate style, join us in Torbole! These days, you are never sure what are you about to read when you open your mail inbox. As a reply to a Newsletter we sent out last month, we got a short note from Dirk, saying very casually that he sailed a 3000 km Giro d'Italia this spring and summer on a Seascape First 27. We were intrigued and wanted to find out more, of course. And here it is. Through Dirk's eyes, some of the notes on his journey. I hope you find it motivating as we did.
