Dear fellow EU citizen,

In order to continue the3million campaign, we need to fundraise and develop our network of donors so we thought the best way to do so is to have a fun evening of politics and entertainment over a seated three-course meal.

This is why I am inviting you on Tuesday 8 October to our very first citizens' rights awards evening. W
e will honour the citizens' rights champions that have stood by us and contributed to our campaign in an exceptional way over the last three years and you will have the opportunity to meet the team and talk to our champions in an intimate setting in London.

Tickets start at £90, including dinner, drinks and exclusive attendance to our awards evening.

The net proceeds from the fundraising evening will go towards funding the heads of our advocacy and media teams Ilse Mogensen and Maike Bohn, as well as funding the work of Luke Piper as our legal adviser on Settled Status. Your contribution will contribute directly towards the main campaign to protect the rights of over 3 million EU citizens in the UK and their families.

As you know, the3million is the largest grassroots organisation of EU citizens in the UK and has made great strides in protecting their rights. We have had quite the journey so far, but we have a long road ahead. We are committed to fighting for your rights 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. But, we can only continue our work with your help.

Meet the team

Our Host: David Schneider

David Schneider is a comedian, actor and writer, best known for The Death of Stalin (2017), 28 Days Later... (2002) and Mission: Impossible (1996). He is a powerful voice for human rights and an EU citizens' champion.

Award Presenter: Gina Miller

Bloomberg described Gina Miller as an 'Establishment Wrecking Ball' but her drive for transparency, scrutiny and integrity is about reform, not wrecking. In 2016, Gina successfully challenged the UK Government over its authority to implement Brexit, winning in both the High Court and Supreme Court in what is hailed as the most important British constitutional case since the 1700s.

Recipient of the Ambassador Award: Alberto Costa MP

Alberto Costa has been Member of Parliament for South Leicestershire since 2015 and was re-elected at the 2017 General Election with one of the largest vote shares in the constituency’s history. He is a trained and licensed solicitor, and was previously a member of the House of Commons Justice Select Committee. The Costa amendment at ring-fencing our rights was voted for unopposed in Parliament.

Recipient of the Citizen's Rights Award: Rosa Curling and Leigh Day

Leigh Day is a distinctive law firm that acts for the vulnerable and stands up for human rights. Rosa Curling, international and UK human rights and public law solicitor, will be accepting the award in honour of the firm. She is also one of the solicitors in the legal challenge brought by the Open Rights Group and the3million, that argues that the immigration exception, which passed into law in May 2018 as part of the Data Protection Act 2018, is unlawful.

Raising our Voices: Marie and Jennifer

Thirty-three years ago, Jennifer came to the UK to seek education for her children Marie and Daniel, who have multiple disabilities. As French citizens, Marie and Daniel never needed to apply to remain in their home. Now the family is afraid they will not be allowed to remain, that Marie and Daniel’s social care packages will be cut, and that they might not obtain settled status and citizenship due to their disabilities.
Jennifer has been a disability rights activist for her family and others throughout her years in the UK.
