As we mentioned at the Board meeting it is time to update our mission statement.
If you would like to weigh in I would appreciate if that could happen by next Friday September 20.
There are a number of grant applications, including those for the Gund and Abington Foundations, that have fall deadlines.
I also have to get our Guidestar profile up to date.
This is the site funders and donors look at when considering a proposal or pitch.
Please remember that a mission statement has to be succinct but also paint broad strokes that allow for interpretation and expansion on an as needed basis. For instance, this isn't the place to spell out field trip activities or specific program offerings or on field clinics. Those can all be detailed in a proposal as related to the education portion of the statement.

The mission of the Baseball Heritage Museum is to connect people with baseball’s past and present it in a manner that perpetuates the game’s fundamentals while translating them into relatable, meaningful life lessons. The Museum utilizes baseball heritage, key events in the history of League Park and innovative educational components, helping visitors appreciate the past and establish the foundation for a culturally inclusive future.
