We're excited to launch three new therapy groups this fall!
Therapy groups are a powerful way to deepen our understanding of ourselves and others in a therapeutic setting. Groups meet for 6 weeks and are closed after registration ends. Participants are required to attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions.
Groups are $30 per session with some scholarship slots available.
If you would like to learn more about a group or apply to join, e-mail us at info@queerasterisk.com or click the registration links below!

Reclaiming Our Power: A Skills Group for Working With Trauma
Facilitated by Parker Schneider, MA
|
|
Fridays beginning October 11th
The first stage of trauma therapy is focused on establishing safety. One of the ways we can begin doing this is through developing skills to work with the symptoms of our trauma and attachment wounding.
Over the course of 6 weeks, this group will focus on helping individuals develop coping and distress tolerance skills as well as resourcing skills to help regulate in response to trauma triggers. Psychoeducation on trauma responses and the physiological impact of trauma on the brain and body will also be provided.

Thursdays beginning October 3rd
|
|
Storylines is a Narrative Art Therapy group for particpants to explore complex facets of their experiences of queer identity using art making, group process, and journaling.
Over the course of six weeks, art prompts will assist members in recognizing and re-authoring internalized stories which stem from cultural and/or familial queer identity stigma.
As the group progresses, members will have the opportunity to use their creative expression to externalize and transform the stories that have had a negative impact, into discovering their authentic selves and resilience.
