What the heck is The Evergrey, you might be wondering. And what are they doing in my inbox?

Well first off, hi. Nice place you got here. And second — you’re getting this email because you went to the Civic Cocktail with our partner, Seattle City Club. They kinda like us, and figured you might like us, too.

So who are we? We’re The Evergrey, the essential daily newsletter for Seattle’s curious locals. From learning how to navigate our quirky traffic circles to finding ways to address our biggest challenges, we’re all about bringing the city together and helping you live like you live here.

Starting tomorrow, you’ll be getting our morning edition. It’s basically a cheat sheet for the city, baked fresh daily: the news you should know, the events you might wanna check out, and the stories that will make your mornings brighter. (Want a sneak peek? You can see this morning’s newsletter here.)

Excited? Check back after 7 a.m. with 5 minutes and a cup of coffee. Not into it? You can take yourself off the list with the “Opt out” button below. But we suggest you give it a day or two. ‘Cause we’re willing to bet our brand of local mojo will start your day stronger than anything else.

Best,

Caitlin Moran, Director

P.S. — Did we mention The Evergrey is also a community of thousands of curious locals living it up all around you? Here’s what some of them have to say about us…

“The Evergrey is a fantastic summary of what’s going on in Seattle — it’s one-stop shopping for interesting things happening in the city. Its focus on giving people a lens to discover the festive, the quirky, and the relevant provides a unique way of connecting with people and events.” — Ian King

“One word: Local. I have found motivation and comfort in the focus on local topics that I care about. I can read it in the morning, and experience it firsthand throughout my day. I love that!” — Mario Sawaya

“Reading The Evergrey has become a morning ritual that makes me feel connected to my city. It makes me happy knowing that thousands of other Seattleites across town are taking a moment each morning to do the same thing.” — Kayla DeMonte
