Hello Ski Racers,
We are now less than two weeks out from the first race of the 2019/2020 season. Below are a few things you need to do before the season starts.
Memberships
Memberships can now be completed on the NZWSA website and must be done before you come racing. Drivers must have their medical form completed prior to racing. Memberships and medicals will not be done on the day of racing.
Entries
Entries are now open for Series One and for the Mercer River Race. Entries will close at 8pm on Tuesday 24th September. Late entries may incur a 50% penalty.
Rule Book
The updated rule book is available here. It will be up on the NZWSRA website in the coming week. In previous years a list of amendments has been provided but this year you are encouraged to focus on the entire rule book, not just the amendments. We've spent a considerable amount of time making sure the rules achieve their purpose and will enforce them to the same high standard whether it's the first race of the season or the National Championships. I urge you to have a very good read and make sure you are up to speed with everything. Please don't be that person who says "I thought the rule was .....blah blah blah", or "I didn't know my safety flag must be 50cm by 50cm, or the flagpole must be at least 100cm - there's absolutely no excuse for not knowing the rules. If you have any questions just ask - we'd rather field hundreds of questions now than be in a position where we can't let one boat race on the day.
