1. Updates

Hello urbanists! Welcome to another much-anticipated edition of your favourite Oxford-based (partly), urban-based (entirely), basically wonderful weekly newsletter.

In case you missed any of our Urban Waste Management articles last month - fear not, they are still available to read on our website, and new articles on this month's focus topic are on their way.

We are also excited to tell you about our opening for a new Partnerships Development Officer and two openings for South Asia Associates. Join us!

Our two article picks this week are:
Continuing our last monthly focus on waste management, Juan Sebastián Benítez Bustamante, in conversation with Dessire Velez, discusses Reciclaje.pe, a Peruvian initiative focused on promoting sustainable and inclusive practices of waste management.
In our magazine, Oenone Kubie investigates changing approaches to the treatment of children's play in the city and the rise of the ‘playground’ as city infrastructure. As well as being a fascinating read, the article's contemplation of the historical construction of where children are thought to 'belong' provides excellent artillery against blanket accusations of the indoor inclinations of 'kids today'

As always, please do send in your pictures and work -  we'd love to feature them in our newsletter. Head over to Facebook, Twitter, and our website pages for more updates.
