Summer Breezes
is one of my painting series. All the art was created while on Summer Breeze, our trawler or from photos taken while cruising. We have traveled from the west coast of Florida, north up to the Chesapeake Bay, back down to south Florida and across the gulf stream to the Abacos, Bahamas all within the last 2 1/2 years.
Conch For Sale was inspired by the actual little dock just barely hanging over the water along the seawall in Cooperstown, Great Abaco Island. I fear that this little dock did not survive the recent storm.
This past year, we cruised south to Florida and then to the Abacos, Bahamas. We are heart broken over the devastation that Hurricane Dorian left there. Many of the scenes which I painted and will paint from the photos I took are no longer there.

While in Fort Pierce, FL we frequently stopped by Rizzo's, a little coffee bar/wine bar/cigar bar that on Saturday nights offers live jazz or blues entertainment on the back patio. This is Ed, the musician whom we tried to go listen to every chance we had.

Toogoodoo 365 Series
This series is a collection of paintings depicting the beauty of the lowcountry. The series, when complete, will be 365 paintings, one for each calendar day of the year representing what the Toogoodoo Creek and lowcountry area looks like. They are all different as the seasons change but also because of the wide range of tides that affect the marsh.

I was able to participate again at Pattison's Academy Summer Camp program where we work with children with multiple, severe disabilities. We helped them create beautiful masterpieces on panels and on fabric where our Charleston Artist Guild volunteers make beautiful pillows for them. Here is one of my student's masterpiece!
