Welcome Back!

If this is your 29th year (like me) or your 1st (shout out to Curtis at WHS) - the start of school is always crazy! With football games, figuring out IEP modifications and the annual "this is the new big thing in education" implementation,  fall is a season where there is never enough time!

Hopefully this newsletter and the resources on lapsenetwork.org can help the veteran and first year teacher alike! We are going to make this the best year ever in Law & Public Safety Education!

We need YOUR help! Please spread the news on LASPEN. Tell your network about us. Be sure that all the new Law & Public Safety teachers know about us. Please, invite them to join our newsletter: https://tinyurl.com/y6kwufbj

Thanks,
Tom

Great Lessons and Resources for Con Law!

Annenberg Classroom is a non-profit that has free materials for all ranges of civics education. I use several of the videos - particulary Mapp V Ohio to supplement my class. It has materials like worksheets to go with the videos.

Special Report: Critical Incident Response

Great article on CIR. Read it to stay updated or use it in class. Appropriate for students in intermediate or advanced classes. Fire classes could use as a springboard to discuss backing police in such crisis.
