TUMG Enters its 94th Year!

Hi  <<First Name>>,

Coming off a pivotal 2018-2019 season, the Owls are back for year 94 and are even hungrier to improve.  Here are some notable updates since our last newsletter:

  • The co-captains for the 2019-2020 season are Ben Ewing and Nicolino DiBattista.
  • We are excited to welcome four new freshmen to the squad: Jared Holmes and Josh Moore from PA, Jacob Biller from MN, and Matthew Coljohn from OH.
  • Ben Ewing has been offered a full-time job at PPL Electric Utilities, where he interned this past summer.  He will begin after graduation.
  • Former TU coach, Dave Thor, was inducted into the World Acrobatic Society Gallery of Legends!
  • Temple's Open House dates are September 29th and November 10th.  Prospective students that are interested in visiting Temple and meeting some team members should sign up for the open house dates here!  Please let us know if you plan on attending.

International Gymnastics Camp: Nicolino DiBattista (co-captain), Garrett McDaniel (So), Jared Holmes (Fr), and Jacob Biller (Fr), served as demonstrators at the coach's symposium during the end of August.
Scholarships
Gymnasts at Temple are eligible for gymnastics-based scholarships.  Senior, Evan Salters, was awarded the USAG scholarship from the National Gymnastics Foundation while freshman, Jacob Biller, was awarded the NAIGC Scholarship!
The team had a great time at Fred and Diane's shore house.  After the food and kayaking, we discussed what it means to be a member of TUMG and how we plan to continue the legacy.
