Leader in Me - Habit of the Month
Be Proactive

Each month our school will have one "habit of the month" that will be highlighted across all our grades.  September's habit is Be Proactive:  I am a responsible person.  I take initiative.  I choose my actions, attitudes, and moods.  I do not blame others for my wrong actions.  I do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is asking.

Weekly Activity to Support Habit:
Be Proactive: Focus on what you can control, and look forward to the future.

The deadline is Friday, October 4th for all incentives and homeroom participation.

Bolts of Blue Campaign Runs Through October 4, 2019
There are two full weeks left in our Bolts of Blue Campaign.  We are over halfway to our $130,000 campaign goal!

We are excited to report that our community of supporters has donated $78,435.13!

How Can You Help to Meet Our Fundraising Goal?
If we look to our community and extended Lutz Preparatory supporters by spreading the word to businesses that support education we can without a doubt exceed our campaign goal!  Please consider the following examples of additional ways to support Lutz Preparatory.

Friends and Family Sample Letter for Donations
We have had a few parents ask for a sample letter to help their child(ren) spread the word to friends and family regarding the campaign.  Click HERE for a sample letter.

Check with Your Employer to See if they Match Donations
Many of our parents' employers will match dollar-for-dollar donations to non-profit organizations like Lutz Prep.  Check with your HR department to see if they offer this benefit.  We also encourage our families to reach out to local businesses in your community for sponsorships in addition to potential employer matching benefits.  Thank you to those families who have pursued this company matching option and DOUBLED their donation to support our school!

Bolts of Blue Spirit Night at Sky Zone
All families are invited to attend the Bolts of Blue Spirit Night at Sky Zone on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 3:00-8:00 PM located at 10137 E Adamo Drive.

Support your school and have fun with friends!  Sky Zone is donating $5 to Lutz Preparatory for every jumper that jumps on this spirit night!

Lutz Preparatory PTA
Children's Dream Fund Supported by Our Lutz Prep Community Last School Year
Lutz Prep Families and Friends,

The Lutz Prep PTA would like to thank parents and supporters on making Finnley Gray’s dream come true.  He and his family spent 7 days at Walt Disney World this past July as part of the Children’s Dream Fund.  This achievement is even more rewarding, as Finn is one of our Lutz Prep students in the 1st grade.

Cynthia Lake Ferrell, Executive Director at Children’s Dream Fund shared this photo collage and these comments
The highlight for Finn was meeting all of the characters, and it is special that many of them come to the Give Kids the World Village.   It is such a wonderful place that enables a family to visit all of the area theme parks during their 7-day stay, but if they are tired, or hot, or the weather is not cooperating, there are wonderful things to do at the Village.  It is not a surprise to us that it is our most-requested dream.   We are grateful for the timing of Finn's dream, for the support of Lutz Prep, and that we have partnered to give Finn and his family memories that will last  a lifetime.”

2019-20 PTA Reflections Program

The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Students reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.

Lutz Prep PTA is excited to announce our participation in the National PTA Reflections program again this year. The 2019-2020 theme is: Look Within. For more information watch this video.

Entries are due to Lutz Preparatory by Monday, October 21, 2019. For an overview of the type of entries, please click HERE for all the details.

Details on the rules, submission requirements, and paperwork needed for submission can be found HERE.

Also, every entry must be submitted with a copy of the work on a thumb drive. Submissions without thumb drives will be considered for Lutz Prep’s program, but they will not be moved to the county level.
