Subnautica: Below Zero Ice Worm Update Released

The Ice Worm Update has arrived

Colossal creatures and ancient secrets are buried deep below the surface of Planet 4546B. Descend into the caves of Glacial Basin and uncover the mysterious Frozen Leviathan, a vast and extraordinary creature encased in a wall of ice.

But tread with caution as you continue to explore and journey across the frozen expanse of the new Arctic Spires biome! The fearsome Ice Worm lies in wait beneath your feet, ready to strike at any moment.

As you traverse Arctic Spires, your footsteps will draw the attention of the terrifying Ice Worm. Think fast as it stalks ever-closer and utilize a Thumper to misdirect the creature and avoid its dreaded attack.

Due to continued community feedback, we’ve been working hard on bringing you a higher stakes introduction, as well as fleshing out the mid-game story. The Ice Worm update includes all-new, text-only dialog throughout, with voice overs coming in a future update.

Discover the impressive floating Lilypad Islands.

Observe new weather-based behaviors for Pengwings.
