  • PVCC Career Services has three employers recruiting on-campus this week in the Student Center, 10:30-1:30.  Tuesday, 9/17 - Chick-fil-A Pantops, Wednesday, 9/18 - Albemarle County Police Dept. and  Zaxby's
  • PVCC's Industrial Electronics Technology program is sponsoring a Career Talk with Dr. Bert Hawkins of National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) who is developing the next generation of instrumentation for engineers, scientists and technicians on Wednesday, 9/18, 6:30pm in Room M229 of the Main Campus Building.
  • Virginia Career Works (VCW), 944 Glenwood Station Lane, is hosting a Cover Letter Writing Workshop on Tuesday, 9/17 at 2pm, a job fair for New Harbor Freight Tools on Wednesday, 9/18, 10am-2pm, walk-in interviews with H&R Block, Harbor Freight and UVA Temps on Thursday, 9/19 from 10:30-12 noon, a Neighborhood Job Fair on Michie Drive on Thursday, 9/19, 4-6:30pm and a Career Fair with LTD Hospitality Group (Staybridge Suites @ the Airport) on Friday, 9/20, 9:30am-1:30pm.  
  • PVCC's Pharmacy Technician program is hosting a Careers Panel Discussion on Wednesday, 9/18, 12-1pm, North Mall Meeting Room to share information about the differences between retail, hospital and compounding pharmacy options.
  • Thinking about going into Nursing? Meet (virtually) 55+ nursing school representatives at a Nursing School Virtual Fair on Thursday, 9/19, 9am-9pm.  
  • Interested in meeting people who have started their own businesses?  Check out the City of Charlottesville's Minority Business Week events all of this week where you can also support them or ask about possible jobs at Thursday's Business Expo at Carver, Recreation, 10am-2pm.
  • Mark your calendar to learn more about NASA's Humans-to-Mars program with Rick Davis, Assistant Director for Science & Exploration,next Monday, 9/23, 12-1pm, PVCC Main Campus Building, Room M229.
