2019 MadTown Yarn Shop Hop

We have less than two weeks until the MadTown Yarn Shop Hop and we are beyond excited! Each yarn shop, mill, and farm are planning fun and exciting events including classes, new products, sales, and prizes! We know you'll all be trying to get to as many yarn shops as you can, but don't forget to schedule in stops to eat and to see more of these awesome towns you'll be driving through! Whether you’re participating all weekend, or just one day, there is so much to do and see in and around Madison!

Near KnitCircus and Wisconsin Craft Market you’ll find a variety of places to eat lunch including North and South seafood and steakhouse, Panera Bread, Qdoba, and more! Stop for coffee at Ancora Coffee or a quick sweet treat at La Michoacana ice cream.

Nina’s Department & Variety Store in Spring Green is in walking distance of Arcadia Books and right down the road from Stage Stop gifts and collectibles.

Mount Horeb, home to Cat and Crow, Sun Valley Fibers, and the Blackberry Ridge Woolen Mill, has a variety of places to eat and shop. Check out the Mount Horeb Historical Society for a peek into the past or Rust and Lace for unique home décor.

Head to Verona to the Sow’s Ear, not only for yarn, but for good food and coffee too! Then swing by Toot + Kate’s Wine Bar right down the block for a delicious glass of vino.

Stoughton is home to Spry Whimsy yarn shop as well as Main Street Kitchen, a great place to grab a sandwich! Try the TAB, a turkey, apple, and bacon sandwich on stone ground bread. It comes highly recommended by the KnitCircus crew!

Stone Crest Llamas and Kaleidoscope Fibers are both near Cambridge, a cute little town that’s also home to shops like the Ruby Rose Gallery and The Voyagers Jewelry Design!

On your way from Susan’s Fiber Shop in Columbus to DMarie Knit and Fiber in Prairie du Sac, you can stop in DeForest, WI for a slice of pie at Norske Nook! Or, if you wanted to wait until after you finish yarn shopping, the Blue Spoon Café in Prairie du Sac is a great place for coffee, sandwiches, and gelato!

Wherever you end up stopping along your fiber journey, we know you’ll have a fun and exciting time! See you soon!
