2019 Suicide Prevention Week
Thank you for your support!
Last month we focused on the mental health needs of first responders during National Suicide Prevention Awareness Week. We thank everyone who worked to bring awareness to this important matter throughout the week, and we encourage everyone to continue to Know the Signs, Find the Words and Reach Out every day of the year. You can still access the activation kit here, and additional suicide prevention resources for first responders can be found here.
National Hispanic Heritage Month takes place every year from September 15 to October 15. During this month, the U.S. Department of Health Human Services' Office of Minority Health (OMH) joins the national celebration of the culture, achievements, and contributions of Hispanics and Latinos in the United States. In 2019, OMH will focus on raising awareness about the importance of daily physical activity among the Hispanic/Latino community in an effort to improve the health outcomes of this population.

Visit the OHM website during Hispanic Heritage Month to find downloadable materials, events and health resources. And visit SanaMente.org for more Spanish-language mental health resources.
Mark your calendars! Mental Health Awareness Week is October 6-12. During this week, advocates across the nation will come together to raise their voices in support of mental health and to speak out against stigma. Click here to find ways to get involved!
