This amazing hotel offers a unique cultural experience for guests in Quito’s warmest and most welcoming traditional neighborhood, San Marcos. A historic house that represents the exquisite style of the mansions of Quito from the early 20th Century, the 10-room hotel showcases key periods in the capital’s history, the rooms and suites on each floor decorated in Colonial, Republican and contemporary styles respectively.
Perhaps most enticing of all, savour innovative Ecuadorian cuisine at the hotel’s award-winning restaurant partner, Nuema. Chef Alejandro Chamorro went to work for Gastón Acurio in both Quito and Perú before he and Piedad Salazar opened their own restaurant. The team divides the work between sweet and savoury. Alejandro specializes in main dishes while Piedad is a pastry chef.
From the fabulous terrace of Illa Experience Hotel, we can see the Panecillo Madonna in the opposite hill. Downstairs the hotel has a tiny gym and wellness area, as well as a beuatiful celler for private dinners or wine tastings

I was in Singapore before ILTM Asia Pacific and wanted to eat the best dimsum, for this I chose the Summer Pavilion which offers authentic Cantonese cuisine in a sophisticated setting. Been there last year and could not wait to enjoy the gastronomy buy chef Cheung Siu Kong.
Then I enjoyed a fabulous signature treatment at the Spa: a hot lapis stone massage to deep pressure to intensely soothe tired, aching muscles and aid relaxation. Loved it.
