Calling Kansas City Musicians

(Kansas City, Missouri) – It may be early October but the KC Streetcar is already planning for the 2019 Holiday Jam Music Series. The KC Streetcar Holiday Jam is a month-long free music series on board the streetcars and along the streetcar line.

The Kansas City Streetcar is looking for talented, local musicians to entertain riders during the 2019 holiday season. In partnership with Visit KC’s Downtown Dazzle experience, musicians will get to experience performing in a unique setting, engaging with their audience in a distinctive way.

In order to apply for the KC Streetcar Holiday Jam, applicants must apply online through the KC Streetcar website: http://kcstreetcar.org/kcholidayjam2019/. Applications without music samples will not be considered. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019.

This is a competitive selection process and qualified applicants will be notified of their selection status by November 1, 2019. Musicians must be local and can be individual or groups however group size on board a streetcar is limited to four. Musicians must be able to perform acoustic-style while on board the streetcar or provide a small amplification system. If performing at a streetcar stop, musicians must be able to provide their own amplification system.

Specific performance dates and times will be determined but performances will generally happen in the late afternoon/early evening hours during the week as well as during the afternoons and evenings on weekends.
