Dear friend, a couple of updates from us:
A new 1 day course run jointly with BHMA
MPNS has teamed up with the British Herbal Medicine Association (BHMA) to run a new one day course on how to best use scientific plant names when working with herbal products or natural products research.
We are running the course at Kew Gardens on November 20th, jointly with the BHMA.
Who is the workshop designed for?
It is aimed at companies, health professionals and academics who use, prescribe, manufacture, supply or retail herbal drugs and food supplements derived from plants.
What does the workshop cover?
Led by BHMA and MPNS staff, the workshop will introduce scientific names, their relevance to herbal medicines and what ‘best practice’ looks like. BHMA will provide examples of practical problems and how to solve them. Participants will visit Kew’s Traditional Chinese Medicines reference collection and get a chance to use the MPNS portal to solve their own queries about names and labels.
You can find out more about the course and register from the BHMA website here
