Earlier this year we welcomed Dr. Beth Hall to Purdue University where she now serves as the Indiana State Climatologist and Director of the Indiana State Climate Office (IN-SCO). The IN-SCO collects and maintains historical weather observations that are critical to understanding our state's shifting climate. The IN-SCO also provides real-time access to weather data, climate summary maps, and various tools that help keep Hoosiers safe and productive.

Beth is no stranger to the Midwest, or Indiana. Prior to being appointed Indiana State Climatologist, she was the director of the Midwestern Regional Climate Center (Champaign, Illinois), and she received her bachelor's degree in physical geography with an emphasis in meteorology in 1994 from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana). Beth is also a co-author on the IN CCIA report Indiana's Past and Future Climate.
