Make plans for Nighttime Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 26

TETNA’s Nighttime Trick-or-Treat will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 and is open to all blocks in the neighborhood.

Registration is 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, and Thursday, Oct. 24, and 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Center Street Park pavilion. We also are looking for volunteers to help at registration. Sign up here.

Official participants must be registered TETNA members, just $10 for the year. Participants can renew their membership or become members at tosaeasttowne.org/join, or bring the form on page 9 of this newsletter. Our membership year is Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.

The first 500 people to drop off their candy at registration will be given a reusable trick-or-treat bag (max 5 per registered household). Thanks to our returning sponsors Hue Vietnamese Restaurant and Philleo Agency Insurance for supporting TETNA's Nighttime Trick-or-Treat.

And if you decorate your house for Halloween and would like to enter our decorating contest, fill out our submission form here.

Wear your hood on your sleeve: The TETNA Tee

We're excited to announce that we are offering branded Tosa East Towne T-shirts this year, featuring a version of the design for our lamppost signs that was created by local designer Zack Goehner.

For 10 days only, you can put in your order at shop.tosaeasttowne.org and we will have the shirts ready for pickup during our TETNA Nighttime Trick or Treat registration at the end of this month. Order yours by Oct. 9.

The shirts are screen-printed locally on soft, cotton shirts with a flattering fit. Men’s, women’s, youth and toddler sizes are available. Proceeds benefit the TETNA Scholarship Fund and other TETNA-approved projects.

Volunteers still needed for TETNA newsletter distribution

We still are looking for a few more Tosa East Towne residents to volunteer as block captains and help distribute our neighborhood association's printed newsletter to their block. The following are some of the blocks that still need coverage:

  • 2300 block of N. 67th St.
  • 2500 block of N. 69th St.
  • 2300 block of N. 73rd St.
  • 2300 block of N. 74th St.
  • 7300/7400/7500 blocks of Meinecke

If you are able to "adopt" one or more of those blocks and serve as block captain, please email info@tosaeasttowne.org ASAP so we can follow up with you and our distribution reps in time for our October issue.

Taste of East Tosa will be Nov. 14 at the Birch event space next to Camp Bar. We are lining up another great slate of food providers and will be announcing updates as we have them.

Tickets are now on sale for $15 and are limited to the first 100. Don't miss out on this popular annual event for adult TETNA members.
