In the midst of working on society’s entrenched issues, how can mission-driven organizations detect whether they’re on the right path? In this session, we’ll explore the ways in which evaluative thinking can help mission-driven organizations to engage in an ongoing process of quality improvement and strategy refinement.

Addressing community problems by scaling nonprofit operations can be impactful but limited by systemic constraints requiring remedy through government action. In this workshop, you will become familiar with the conditions conducive for governmental bodies to act, be able to map the environment of a policy area, and be able to articulate strategies promoting government action.

SVP Partners are invited to join us in celebrating the release of the Preschool for All report, which calls for dramatic expansion in affordable, high-quality preschool opportunities for children in Multnomah County. Partners who were engaged in the effort will reflect on the collaborative process, and we will hear from Commissioner Jessica Vega Pederson about next steps for the initiative.
