Every vote counts. So does yours.

Canada's Federal Elections are around the corner. It is a critical time for us to raise issues important to LGBTQ2S communities and highlight our voices.

Healthcare, housing, and immigration; these are just a few areas where the federal government can take action to reduce discrimination and marginalization faced by our communities.

Who we elect impacts our health, our well-being, and our ability to live out authentically. It is up to us to make sure our country does better. Don't forget to vote on Monday, October 21, 2019.

This is what Community looks like!

Shot of community folks holding different banners and placards and marching down a street. Two organizers in leading them.
Led by The 519 and our Army of Lovers, a counter-protest was organized to Defend Church Street on September 28, 2019. Our communities took to the streets with us and stopped hatred from marching through our Village.

Thanks for your amazing show of solidarity and support.

We will be announcing more workshops around community safety and peaceful organizing. Stay updated about our Anti-Violence Initiatives at avi@The519.org.
