Orange Shirt Day at Nokiiwin
Your Nokiiwin team proudly supported and took part in the 7th annual Orange Shirt Day on September 30th, 2019 at our office. We wear our shirts in remembrance of residential school survivors and to raise awareness of the impact the schools have had on Indigenous people across Canada.

Welcome Erica Tropea,
Waste Management Advisor

Hey everyone! My name is Erica Tropea and I am excited to join the Nokiiwin Tribal Council team in the position of Waste Management Advisor.

My previous work experience in the field of waste diversion and composting, along with my educational background, will be useful to me in navigating this new role. I hold an Honours Bachelor degree in Biology and a Masters in Environmental Studies where I was able to express my passion for all things environment. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, if I'm not outside biking, hiking, or fishing, you'll find me relaxing on the lake at camp with family. I am looking forward to the future here at Nokiiwin!
