Woof this impeachment stuff is nuts. Hard to not make a whole newsletter about that. In other news, lack of sleep is really catching up with me and making me a parental zombie. Enjoy this newsletter while I take a nap...
A Poster Of All The Movie Presidents. I would like to have an educational style Presidential poster, but instead of real presidents, it's only the presidents from movies.

Hip, illustrative, pop-culture forward posters are very popular and I think this would also sell well. It would feature presidents like Selina Meyers (Veep), Merkin Muffley (Dr. Strangelove), Billy Bob Thornton (Love Actually), Michael Keaton / President Mackenzie (First Daughter), David Palmer (24), Andrew Shepherd (The American President), Dave Kevic (Dave), Jed Bartlett (The West Wing), Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho (Idiocracy), and so many more.

I would love to have this poster, but I'm no good at drawing people. Maybe someone else will do it. Whadya think?

(btw the REAL president poster above is available for sale by HadleyDesignCo)
Some of the most interesting things I read, watched, or listened to in recent weeks:
Crooked: A Plan To Win The Impeachment Fight
Pod Save America's Dan Pfeiffer wrote this back in May. It's simple, detailed, and it remains the clearest and most effective talking points I've seen. I hope the Dems can stick with it.
It's Time For Caps Lock To Die
Daniel Colin James of Forward Tick explains the surprising origins of the caps lock key and argues for its replacement.
Untitled Goose Game
"It's a lovely morning in the village, and you are a horrible goose." I am LOVING this beautifully designed and hypnotically simple stealth puzzle game from House House.
Beautifully shot videos about the mechanics of how things are made never not be interesting to me. In this video, pencils are made while dramatic music plays. (Thanks Ben R. for the tip!)
Impeachment and Trump's spiraling are dominating the political news... but there's not a ton you can do about it personally, so here are five races where you can an immediate impact.
  1. Ammar Campa-Najjar came within three points of replacing indicted frat boy Duncan Hunter Jr. in CA-50 (San Diego) in 2018 and he's running again. This time, Daryl Issa (who LOST election in a DIFFERENT DISTRICT) may also be entering the race. Volunteer with Ammar's campaign to flip this house seat.
  2. Donate to Stacey Abrams' new org Fair Fight to combat voter suppression in Kentucky, Missouri, and Louisiana (and more states to come). More here.
  3. Sign up with Vote Forward and write letters encouraging people to vote and even helping register new voters. It's SUPER easy and you can do it from home.
  4. Give Kentucky a Democratic Governor. There are a lot of races that won't happen until 2020, but in ONE MONTH Kentucky could elect a Democratic Governor, which would be huge. Donate to Andy Beshear for Kentucky Governor here.
  5. Help Flippable swing seats in the Virginia state legislature before redistricting in 2021 cements it as a red state.
Back in 2015, Nathan Yau posted a beautiful visualization of how Americans spend a typical day. It's fascinating to watch and it's unpacked in a lot of detail. Check it out!
I know I just did this last week, but some great places just posted job opportunities I couldn't resist sharing. Get at it! (or send to someone who should apply!)

CONTENT & COMMUNITY MGR @ BEARFOOT THEORY
Bearfoot Theory is a lifestyle blog run by outdoor-loving women that is a go-to resource for travel and adventure. It's like a DIY REI with a little bit of Van Life thrown in.

They're looking for "a *kickass* Content and Community Manager to take charge of our blog and social media channels. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn the ins and outs of online business, under our mentorship, and to be part of the next chapter of Bearfoot Theory." Get more details and apply here!
Reader Sam K. let me know hospitals have asked him about food preferences and allergies during intake. So, at least some of them are doing it. I tried to find more about whether or not it was a legal thing, a cost thing, or what, and found this great piece in Eater about hospital food, its history, why it sucks, and what the future might look like.
Thanks for reading! I'd love to get your feedback. Favorite segment? What's working? What's not working? What do you want to see more of?
