Welcome to fall and thank you to everyone who have contributed to our irrigation system fundraiser!
The response in the past month has been terrific, and we are now in a position that we can proceed with the installation of a new irrigation system this fall. Special thanks to Christie Broad and Phil Robertson for spearheading the fundraising efforts!
Preliminary work will begin next week, with the major work starting right after Thanksgiving. It should all be complete (weather permitting) this season. We will be keeping the course open for play while the work is being done, but play will be restricted to the holes not being worked on at any given time.
If you have not yet contributed to the fundraiser, we are still looking for donations. While we have the funds to proceed, at this time we will be using some of the Club's funds in the bank to complete the work. Additional donations will enable us to avoid using those funds for this project. There are 3 ways you can donate …
- You can donate using a credit card by clicking on the following link, which will lead you to our fundraising page through the National Sports Trust Fund - Ontario http://www.sport4ontario.ca/isf.html
- You can also pay by cheque payable to the National Sports Trust Fund – Ontario. You can leave your cheque with Mike in the Pro Shop.
- Donations of stock are also accepted. Contact Mike in the Pro Shop for information on contributing stock.
You will be provided a tax receipt for your full donation amount and remember, all donations will be matched.
Notice of the date for the official closure of the course will be sent later in October.
