PATA CEO Dr. Mario Hardy awarded ‘Travel Personality of The Year’
The award was presented to Dr. Hardy at the 30th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2019. Upon receiving the award, he said, "My priority was to ensure the financial sustainability and relevance of the Association, and with the assistance and support of the dedicated staff and valued PATA members, I can proudly say that we have made great strides in reaching that goal. PATA Canada Vancouver Capilano University Student Chapter celebrated World Tourism Day

The event kicked off with an inspiring video from this year’s host country, India, followed by an informative introduction from Stephanie Wells, Chair of the School of Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Management, and a panel discussion based on the theme of “Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future For All.” Read more >

Kazakhstan Offering 30-day Visa-free travel to citizens of 12 countries

Kazakhstan extended its visa-free program to additional 12 countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, Vatican, Liechtenstein and Colombia. Thanks to the new visa regime, tourists from these countries can stay in Kazakhstan for up to 30 days. Read more >

The International Air Transport Association launched the 25by2025Campaign—an airline industry initiative to advance gender diversity in the airline industry by 2025, aiming to increase the number of women in senior positions and the under-represented jobs. Read more >
