CELEBRATE THE ARTIST  | Reception for Zoé Strecker
Thursday, Oct. 3, 5-7 pm.

Forest Portals: Pine Mountain (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall) is a meditative video installation that invites contemplation of the spectacular biodiversity in Kentucky’s old growth forests and the soil that supports them. The cracked screens are porcelain clay. Clay is dirt. Dirt is a foundation for terrestrial life, the shared site of the living and the transformed, home to human and non-human beings.

The Forest Portals installation and reception are part of Transylvania's Studio 300, Kentucky's only digital arts and music festival. The Mitchell Fine Arts Building will be alive with multiple art installations to enjoy. Studio 300's Interactive Electro-Acoustic Music and Multimedia Concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Haggin Auditorium.
