Texas Tooth Steps


Beth Stewart, TxOHC Executive Director had the recent pleasure of presenting the Texas Tooth Steps program for the Cook Children's baby shower on Saturday, September 28th at McDonald YMCA of Fort Worth.

Our sincere thanks to Elaine Vivens and the Cook Children's Oral Health Coalition for hosting this educational and informative event. 

Dr. Kimberly Melendez, Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Region 3,4,5 North Dental Director provided screenings for attendees, Albert Brown, Founder/President of NOISIV Agency provided a fun activity and presentation to engage fathers and Lisa Englehart led the Tarrant County College Dental Hygiene students in providing oral health education at five different activity stations.

The Texas Oral Health Coalition seeks someone with strong writing skills in health communications to provide assistance with providing insights to key oral health indicators in Texas by creating narratives and visualizations with a focus on meaningful use and application of data regarding community water fluoridation.
