to bring before our Father for the month of October, 2019
Colin Leaver – Executive Director
Prayer:
- For Don Craig and myself (Colin) as we plan a trip to visit Bolivia YFC and develop an official partnership. Pray for travel mercies, and financial partners who believe in International missions and will join us in this adventure!
- Pray for Christian students at Loyalist whom we are helping to connect (1) to each other (2) to a ministry called Loyalist Christian Life (3) to local churches (4) and to outreach to non-christian friends.
- Pray as we develop ministry in schools: (1) For PECI which has new leadership and we are asking for their permission to support students there (2) Praying that leadership at Sir James Whitney will see value of the QYU youth centre.
Praise:
- For 2 new leaders who are starting ministry this fall. 1 has raised all the financial deputation needed, the other is about 70% there. We thank God for the hundreds of people who have been praying and making donations as partners with them in ministry.
- Thankful that we have re-confirmed our ministry at Centennial despite some changes in leadership for both YFC and the school administration over the past 1.5 years. We had 11 at our first informal social meeting in September.
- For the 3 oldest Leaver boys in high school who are doing well in school, friends and sports - and for Davis who enjoys being the only Leaver at Trenton Christian this year.

Prayer: - For our committee as we plan out what this year will bring in our strategic planning for ministry - For people to come alongside our prayer group; Team Level Up - For our co-op student to challenged to grow as a leader and in creativity in sharing the Gospel to his peers
Praise: - We have a co-op student!!!! - Seeing great plans develop for our RPG & Me group in their upcoming campaign this semester - Ina (our International Volunteer from Germany) is leading with us on Board Game Nights
Eli Verkuyl – Prince Edward County
For October I’d appreciate prayers for favour with administrators, creativity in reaching students and wisdom in balancing work/family.
Please pray for the upcoming Change Conference Oct 18 to 19th. Many of our youth are Going! PTL
Mike Fuller – Brighton Beacon
Prayer
- Please continue to pray for our volunteers particularly those who have been dealing with illness. - Prayer for financial funding. -Pray for our students- specifically the many who are facing conflict, bullying and broken relationships.
Praise -That we have been given this opportunity to love on and minister to the kids of Brighton. - For all our hard working volunteers who commit time every week to the kids of their community! -God continues to open doors for us to talk to youth!
Rikki-Anne McNaught – Performing Arts Department
We are filled with gratitude to the Lord for providing us with 42 students to be discipled in Spirit Borne Performing Arts and 23 volunteers (including Ina from Germany) to teach and mentor our students.
We are thankful to be planning our fifth season of Opening Act to build theatre skills and to engage grade 5-8 students in conversation of faith and biblical morals.
On a personal note, in October Jason and I will be celebrating our 23rd year of marriage. Praise the Lord!
Please pray for the following in the performing arts:
1. That our Spirit Borne students will choose God's ways over the the culture.
2. That God would provide a leadership team for Opening Act.
3. That Jason and I would set a new standard in godly relationships for our kids and their future spouses.

Andrew MacKay – Quinte Youth Centre Director
Prayer
- Pray for success and safety at upcoming Golf Marathon.
- Pray that more community youth will discover the Youth Centre.
- Pray for our staff as we kick off our fall ministries
Praise
- Grateful for successful summer ministry.
- Praising God for bringing us a new volunteer on Monday nights.
- Student have been bringing new friends to the Youth Centre.

Sept Prayer Request: Answered!
That I will be able to hear how the Lord is directing me towards programs, events and fellow laborers..
The Billy Graham event coming up in October. Pray that students who are invited will accept and go.
Both of these were answered! Had two students come to the velocity event, neither of which had ever stepped foot inside a church. And there is a plan to take them and possibly friends to the Oct 5 event.
The Lord has been leading towards some events, and there is a plan in place to host a gym night at CHSS on Friday Oct 25 at 7pm.
October Prayer Requests.
1 - That the Lord would save the students who are coming out to the programs events in October.
2 - That the Lord would continue to direct my steps each and every day, and lead me in planning programs and events in the coming months.
3 - Give thanks for His Love. :)
Don & Tania Craig – International Missions
As mentioned in Colin's prayer request for the upcoming trip to Bolivia, timing, finances and other interested partners. Please remember our beloved Chaplain Bob in your prayers. This month he starts up their Hymn Sing at the Retirement Residence on the 20th where Bob now resides. Please pray for boldness for him and open doors to share the gospel.
