This week's Super Learners who take home the Head Teacher's certificate this week! Week done everyone!
On Monday we will be having our first 'House' meeting. The children will be in the same houses that they were in for Sports Day. Please remember when the children come home that we are not calling the groups 'family' any more. There are a few important reasons for this as you would expect. We will be working on what it means to be part of a 'House' and how the children earn points to help their house win the cup at the end of the year!
Two of the best ways is to make sure your attendance is high, with no lates and earning lots of Dojo Points! So, in other words... being at school every day and being on time and learning really well... easy!

Our fantastic children who have done it right all week and came to Hot Chocolate Friday were David, Willow, Maisie, Isobel, Evelyn and Hadley! Well done - super proud!

It is SCHOOL CENSUS DAY  on Thursday 3rd October 2019.  As you are aware you are entitled to a meal free of charge if you have a infant in Reception, year 1 and year 2. On Census day, the government takes a snapshot view of our data, and the school will receive money for every FREE INFANT MEAL the children book and receive on this day.
Therefore we will be swapping the menu on this day to CHIP DAY!  Thursday's menu will be served on Friday.
PLEASE CAN YOUR CHILD ORDER A FREE INFANT MEAL ON THIS DAY.
Please support our school so we can get the best for your child.
Thank you
As you are aware attendance is monitored regularly by the school and the Educational Welfare Officer. To help you keep track of your child's attendance we will be sending you a letter informing you of your child's present percentage and the impact on their education if they are regularly absent.
A warning system of Green, Amber and Red has been used to make the impact clear.
We understand that it is not always easy to have appointments out of term times, so please if avoidable, please make your appointments after registration periods and kept to a minimum.  Holidays as always are only authorised by appointment with the Head teacher and the necessary paperwork completed.

We would like to reiterate the parking times at Kiln Carpark as determined by the Parish Council.

Moning:  8.30am - 9.10am
Afternoon: 2.55pm - 3.35pm

Please be aware, that parking outside of these times without paying, a parking ticket will be issued.

We ask you to refrain from parking alongside the kerb outside of school.  This is extremely dangerous for you and your children, other road users, parents and pupils coming in and out of school.  Rews close is privately owned and no parking is permitted.
Thank you

We have had a number of reported cases of head lice. Head lice and nits are very common in young children and their families. They do not have anything to do with dirty hair and are picked up by head-to-head contact.
If you would like more information regarding this ongoing problem, please see the NHS link below informing you of up to date treatment plans.
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/head-lice-and-nits/
Thank you to all the parents who has given us their up-to-date email address.  We plan to go 'live' within the next week.  If you have not yet returned your email slip to us, it is not too late.  Please pop it in to the Admin office so we can get you up and running.  This is a fantastic and convenient way to access, review and request changes to the data held on your children and direct from your phone.
