SENIOR CLUB CHAMPS
Well done to all our finalists and competitors in our 2019 Senior Club Champs sponsored by O' Hare O' Dwyer Solicitors. We had nearly 150 players compete in over 18 events. Big thanks to Orna, Rob and all the tennis committee who helped run the tournament. Thanks to Ray Collier, Colm O' Hare and Claire Brennan who looked after the catering and the bar.

What a wonderful morning in Sutton on Thursday 19th. Members of the 'Enjoy Tennis' group were on hand in the morning to help celebrate the raising of almost €7,000.00 towards the cost of a new bus for their centre in Omni. Minister of State for Disability Issues Finian McGrath joined management and staff of St Michaels House Omni Centre and Sutton LTC for the hand over of the cheque - followed by the Enjoy Tennis inaugural Club Championships - a fabulous morning - well done to everyone involved! SENIOR SQUASH
TOP 5 PLACES FOR SUTTON
Sutton Squash Guys take the Top 5 places in the first Irish Squash Tour Event of the season @ Curragh Senior Open.
Conor Moran took the Men’s A Title with Sam Buckley in 2nd place, Oisin Logan 3rd, Luke Logan 4th and Alex Smith 5th.
Breanne Flynn came 2nd in the Ladies A and Alessia Osborne came 4th.
Superb start to the season.

SENIOR SQUASH ROUND ROBINS
The first round of Senior Squash Round Robins started this week. Matches are friendlies unless you agree to play it as a challenge beforehand. Please record results on booking system. If you have a problem email them to squash@suttonltc.com.
If you are not included you can join in the next round.
SENIOR RANKING LADDER OPEN
The Sutton Squash Ranking Ladder reopened on 1st September. All match within the rules are challenges. You must write it up on the sheet provided on notice board and contact your opponent. Results must also be written up so that ladder can be adjusted.
If you are not yet on the ranking list and would like to be included please contact us or write you name at the end of the list on the board. squash@suttonltc.ie.

SQUASH SHOES AND OTHER RULES
We must remind players that Shoes with Black Soles are not permitted even if they say NON MARKING. Squash Court 2 & 3 were badly damaged at the weekend because of Black marks.
Also we have had to remove chewing Gum, Stones, Food and other damaging items from the courts. It is very important that we respect the courts and refrain from bringing food, drinks and dirt on court.
LASTLY, some Juniors are NOT wearing their Squash Goggles on court!!!! It is so important that you ensure they wear their Goggles. It is compulsory World Wide until they reach 19 year and there is a good reason. If you are hit with a squash ball in the EYE it is very unlikely the eye will recover. If a Junior is seen on court without goggles they will be told to leave the court. If they continuously refuse to abide by the rules of squash they will be reported to management.

WORKS ON TENNIS COURTS - UPDATE
This week:
Please note that Tennis Courts 8&9 will have no lights this week due to the work on courts 5-7 as they have shared poles. Courts 8&9 are playable during the day but will have no lights at night. Work is being carried out on Courts 4-7 and they remain blocked off.
Next week:
Please note we are expecting to have Tennis Courts 5-7 fully back in action next week. Courts 4,8&9 will be blocked off next week.

HANDICAP EVENTS AND ENTRY FORMS now available in Snooker Room and Office.
Closing date for entries is Thursday 17th October.
THURSDAY NIGHT BLITZ - Winners to date are Eamonn Ryan / Neville Doolin and Bill Morrissey/ Kieran O’Mara. The Blitz continues each week from 7.30pm. A good night’s fun for €5 and the prospect of a bottle of wine.
ROVER 60 LEAGUE cues off on Monday next 30th September with thirty plus hopefuls competing for honours in five divisions. Do not be afraid to make the first phone call to arrange your matches.

Hey Everyone,
I hope you’ve all had a great week in the Gym, on the court and in life in general. We are still deliberating over our autumn/winter timetable(yes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news summer is over, it's time to start working on next year’s summer body) so please if you have any suggestions for changes you want to see let us know as soon as possible.
Reminder for the next body transformation group times, it will run on Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm-8pm beginning October 15th running for 8 weeks so finishing up on December 12th right before all the Christmas festivities.
It will cost €200 for members of the Club and €280 for non members. You will get near 24/7 support from our team of trainers to keep you accountable in a group chat, nutrition plan to suit your end goal, training plan and 2 free timetable classes on top of the 2 intense body transformation classes.
Places are limited to 10 people so express your interest as soon as possible to Matt by email with the subject heading “TRANSFORM ME” to his email mattblazeonline@gmail.com as soon as possible.
