October 14-16th we’ll be joining the Governor’s Office of Economic Development at the fourth annual Innovate Montana Symposium in Butte. For each of the past four years, INNOVATE has brought together the state’s most sought after business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and growth strategy experts in one place. Participants make invaluable networking connections, gain actionable market insights, and save countless hours that would be spent driving across Montana to meet these people.
This year’s Symposium reflects Montana’s growing attraction for the nation’s fastest-growing companies. Keynotes and featured speakers include the CEO of ClassPass and VPs from Slack and WeWork.
These three days in October will be invaluable to anyone starting a venture, growing a business, or taking a role in directing our state’s economic growth. It’s also a great opportunity for anyone looking for the knowledge and skills to innovate a business from within and advance their career.

On October 16th, we will be joined on the main stage by these 5 incredible Montana founders for a new addition to the Innovate Montana Symposium: Pecha Kucha- styled presentations.
The "Founders Series" will feature stories of origin from a diverse set of industries. The speakers include Ryan Hansen, Founder and CEO of LumenAd; Heidi Drivdahl, Founder and CEO of EcoMontana; Jon Wick, Founder and Owner of 5518 Designs; Spencer Williams, Founder and CEO of West Paw; and Mary Stranahan, Founder of Goodworks Ventures.
Begin the week of the 2019 Innovate Montana Symposium with a behind-the-scenes look at some of Butte's most innovative businesses and organizations. From 1-4pm on October 14th, we will be providing separate tours to nearby areas that will highlight some of Butte's most fascinating businesses and will feature tours to places such as Montana Connections Business Development Park, Uptown Butte, and a Mining/Environmental Engineering Tour.
Shuttles and buses will leave from the Copper King Hotel. Spots are limited and registration is required. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required for tours to Montana Resources and Montana Precision Products.

The Montana Ambassadors is a volunteer, not-for-profit association made up of passionate people dedicated to living and doing business in Montana. Our members act as official Ambassadors of the State of Montana, both in and out of state, and represent the Office of the Governor and the Department of Commerce. Ambassadors are predominantly leaders in business and education, as well as many other professions, and we are always looking to add new members to help us further the best interests of Montana.
Montana Ambassador Goals:
Build business opportunities for Montana whether through business expansion, retention or recruitment efforts.
Assist the Governor in developing out-of-state Ambassadors who can serve as a voice for Montana in other states.
Assist in developing and exploring business options and opportunities for Montana.
Develop relationships with educational institutions, agencies and systems that foster the Governor’s vision of economic vitality of Montana’s workforce and quality of life for its citizens.
As an increasing number of jobs are relegated to robotics, what is the future of work?Will employment become obsolete and, with its predicted scarcity, where will the majority of the population find meaning and the financial resources necessary to realize that meaning once found? In partnership with the Montana Governor's Office of Economic Development and the 2019 Innovate Montana Symposium, I Am Interchange is proud to present The Future of Work Xchange event on October 16th at the Covellite Theatre in Butte, Montana.
Join an esteemed panel of guests in this controversial and intriguing dialogue. Doors open at 6 pm for a light social and the event slated to begin at 6:30.

The Butte Local Development Corporation established the Butte Elevated Awards for the purpose of recognizing and honoring outstanding Butte-Silver Bow businesses and citizens for their contributions to our community. The 2019 recipients will be announced and honored at the Butte Local Development Corporation’s Annual Dinner to be held on December 5th at the Copper King Hotel & Convention Center.
Deadline: 5:00 pm, Friday, November 1st, 2019
