Help manage events for this 3-day weekend event. Park rangers will need assistance with welcoming and coordinating groups at the Visitor Center. There are also opportunities to get outside and help lead hikes, bike rides, and other activities. Check out event details online and email the Park Connection with your interests.

Resource Management is looking for volunteers to help plant trees at Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk for a graduate research project on storm water mitigation and erosion control. 

Meet at 8:00am on October 15th at the greenhouse at headquarters, located near 1000 Mineral Springs Road in Porter. There will be a 2 hour training session on best planting practices, followed by 2 hours of tree planting and data collection at the Lakefront.

With the end of the fiscal year, it's time to get numbers in and see how much you all contributed this year. Don't forget that keeping track of your hours allows you to earn rewards such as Volunteer-in-Parks swag and, of course, 250 hours awards you with an America the Beautiful pass!

You may submit hours to parkconnection@gmail.com, during our office hours at the Park Connection office each Wednesday, 9-3, or hand them to your supervisor to be given to us.
